Dear Ranger Families,
Salinas conducted a practice LOCKDOWN Drill today. LOCKDOWN drills are conducted to ensure students and staff practice the Standard Response Protocols and know how to respond should a LOCKDOWN occur at our school.
Our students and staff did a great job during the drill, and we will debrief with our local first responders to continue to identify any areas for improvement. Thank you for your continued support.

Today our students had a BLAST at our Apex Glow Run event and have had such an awesome two weeks LEVELING UP their leadership! Tonight is the LAST night to get pledges in to help us reach our goal and raise funds for campus improvements, school events, and student academic programs! The Apex team has a final challenge for us: The class with the BIGGEST JUMP in PLEDGES will get to SILLY STRING THE PRINCIPALS!

APEX had a blast getting pied by students today! Make sure to log your students in. We still have time to earn our School wide PJ STUFFIE DAY at 65% logged in. We are currently at 48%.
Tonight's challenge is our grade level challenge the TOP class in each grade with the biggest jump in PLEDGES will get to have GLOW SWAG from APEX at our glow run on Thursday along with a GLOW DANCE PARTY with APEX tomorrow. Thank you so much Ranger friends and family for all your support! 🥧

We want to ensure that all students, staff, and visitors are prepared in the event of any emergency, including what actions should be taken during a LOCKDOWN. Practice of emergency procedures through drills and training can reduce confusion.
We will not be conducting any live scenarios during our LOCKDOWN drill, meaning there will be no loud simulations, blank rounds, or explosive sounds.
“DRILL IN PROGRESS” signage will be posted at front entrance to the school building.
NO VISITORS WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER OR EXIT THE BUILDING DURING THE DURATION OF THE LOCKDOWN DRILL.

Hey Ranger Friends and families!
Apex has been on campus this week teaching the students how to level up their leadership! We have had an awesome first week. If you haven't already use your students VIP badge to log your student in and share their page, we are raising funds for student academic programs, campus improvements, and school events! The apex team has an awesome weekend challenge for us, ANY class that JUMPS $10/lap or more will get to pick 2 rewards off of the APEX POSTER. Their class could pick: extra recess, pj day, tech time, hat & shoes off day, pie apex, or mummify apex. We can't wait to see what your student will pick!
