Ranger Families,

We would love to have our military families come and celebrate with us at our Veterans Day Assembly on November 7th from 9:00AM-10:00 AM. Each branch of the military will be recognized, so come dressed in your fatigues. Also, please send Mrs. Buchanan pictures of your family members who have served in the military. These pictures will be shown at the assembly. Thank you!

Salinas military families. Please contribute to our upcoming Veterans Day Assembly.

Ranger Families,

We will have a Costume Parade on Thursday, October 30th. Students do not have school on Friday, Oct. 31st. Parents are welcome to attend the parade, but must check in through the front office with an ID. Please make sure the costumes are school appropriate (not gory or scary).

Unity Day is an annual event in the United States held on the third Wednesday of October to prevent bullying by promoting kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. To stand against bullying wear orange tomorrow!

On Friday, October 3, Salinas Elementary will have its annual Bike Rodeo. It will be conducted during the assigned Specials times below. Students are responsible for parking their bikes in their assigned area around the gym. Only two-wheeled bikes will be permitted, training wheels will result in no score being given and no scooters are allowed. Students must have their own bike to participate and may not borrow another participant's bike; bikes must be picked up by 3:30 PM but may be picked up earlier if possible.

The top two scores in 1st through 5th grades will advance to the District Bike Rodeo to be held Wednesday, October 15th. Please contact Coach Schievelbein with any questions at 210-659-5045 or dschievelbein@judsonisd.org.

Start times for each grade:

8:15 – 9:15 4th & 5th

9:30 – 10:30 2nd & 3rd

12:30 – 1:30 Kinder & 1st

Ranger Families,

We wanted to inform you that the nurse's office with begin vision, hearing and acanthosis screenings beginning next Wednesday, Oct. 1st. If your child fails any screenings, they are re-screened  within two weeks and a referral letter is sent home. Please email Nurse Amador if you have any questions at bmamador@judsonisd.org.
