Dear Ranger Families,
We conducted a practice LOCKDOWN Drill today. LOCKDOWN drills are conducted to ensure students and staff practice the Standard Response Protocols and know how to respond should a LOCKDOWN occur at our school.
Our students and staff did a great job during the drill, and we will debrief with our local first responders to continue to identify any areas for improvement. Thank you for your continued support.

-Monday, February 16th is a Teacher Prep and Planning Day. No school for students.
-On Tuesday, February 17th our 3rd-5th graders will be taking their RLA STAAR Interim practice assessment so we will have a closed campus to visitors that day.
-On Wednesday, February 18th our 3rd-5th graders will be taking their Math STAAR Interim practice assessment so we will have a closed campus to visitors that day.

As we maintain our focus on campus safety and security, we wanted to inform you that we will be conducting a practice LOCKDOWN drill tomorrow (Feb. 12th). We want to ensure that all students, staff, and visitors are prepared in the event of any emergency, including what actions should be taken during a LOCKDOWN. Practice of emergency procedures through drills and training can reduce confusion.
We will not be conducting any live scenarios during our LOCKDOWN drill, meaning there will be no loud simulations, blank rounds, or explosive sounds.
“DRILL IN PROGRESS” signage will be posted at the front entrance to the school building.
NO VISITORS WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER OR EXIT THE BUILDING DURING THE DURATION OF THE LOCKDOWN DRILL.

We will have free hot dog meals with chips and a drink, fun and engaging math games for K-5, prizes and much more! We need parent volunteers for this event . The first session will begin at 5:00 PM and a second session at 5:45 PM.
